Synopsis: The poignant and little known story of the military avant-garde founded by Nelson Mandela is told through the stories of the fighters and former members of uMkhonto weSiwe, the military wing of the ANC. The peaceful end of Apartheid was preceded by a struggle to the death between the white power and South Africa’s anti-racist activists.

Biofilmography: Osvalde Lewat is a multi-award-winning writer, photographer and documentary director whose work focusses primarily on social and political issues. Osvalde is a graduate of Science-Po Paris an has completed training courses in image at Femis in Paris and the National Institute of Image and Sound (INIS) in Montreal. Broadcast by more than 70 TV channels around the world her films have travelled the five continents and received international awards.
